I'm gonna clue you all in. Goddess of E's computer died a horrible, horrible death. Thus it's been hard to get any translating done. Lucky for you guys we saw it coming and hid a few chapters away in case of emergency. I don't think that the release schedule will be effected. GoE's new computer has been ordered and will be delivered in a week or so.

I was wondering if you guys would also finish up that 1 volume of the orginal birdy series before this one came out. Tetsuwan Birdy. It's pretty short so I was thinking you might knock it out one day or something.

We've looked into the original Birdy manga. I do have the raw scans, and we may do it. However, with GoE's computer dead, we'll be lucky to get a chapter a week out. Once that problem is solved, you may be surprised to find some old Birdy from time to time. You'll just have to wait and see.

just out of curiosity, will you guys be scanning any other manga series besides birdy? because if you guys are, i have a few series that ive been waiting for someone to pick up/start scanning
Wow, this must be a miracle. Someone finally picked up Birdy for scanlation!
I hope that your effort doesn't cease until the whole manga is translated, since it's one of those which I really like but not many people seems to care about.

I doubt we'll do any other series any time soon.
To do another series we'd have to grab another translator at least. And frankly, I don't feel like being a manager/full time editor. At the moment, GoE does the pre-translation, we do the full translation together and I do editing. Simple and fast. If another editing/translating pair wanted to set their own schedule and release here though, I'd be cool with that
As for how we pick manga, the reason we chose Birdy is simply cuz its one of my personal favorites and because no one was doing it. I love it. But GoE does it just cuz she's bored.

Yea, it always blew me away that no one was doing it. After Decode came out I though someone would pick it up. But no one did, well until we did.
